I’ve been working in online media since mid-1990s, when I was first introduced to HTML. When I attended the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley I focused on Multimedia production. I have been working as a full time freelance web designer and multimedia producer for over two years, and have worked with dozens of media and art independents, film productions and companies, small businesses, consultants and organizations across the Bay Area and around the US. retailSF Bay Retail is a website devoted to helping San Francisco Bay Area retail tenants and landlords achieve their business goals. It is maintained by the San Francisco based TRI Commercial Retail Services company.

This is yet another WordPress based website. In this case the clients knew what theme they wanted to use, but wanted it to be adjusted specifically for their needs and also required a full graphic design with a particular color scheme to be consistent with the branding of their company. This website also does a much more extensive use in the side bar features, and has a fully functional and active blog section.

The Sustainable Economies Law Center is a non-profit organization that facilitates the growth of sustainable, localized, and just economies, through legal research, professional training, resource development, and education about various relevant practices.

The website is still work-in-progress and was created under a very tight deadline, as there was an urgent need to get a website up as soon as possible. It currently offers basic information about the organization’s mission and its programs, as well as contact information and a Facebook connection that allows visitors donate to the organization. A major site update is planned in the near future.

briscoeBriscoe 14 is a strategic communication group from San Diego.

This is the only website here that I didn’t provide a full graphic design for, but it is a great example for a WordPress conversion.

The original website was built in iWeb and the group wanted it to be converted to an easier platform to use and update. The design had to stay exactly the same, which meant a few challenges in creating and adjusting the WordPress code to duplicate the original website.

SF Space Advocate is managed by Bill Wilson, who has 40 years of varied brokerage experience in the Bay Area. The goal of the site is to offer information and answers for tenants in the San Francisco area and help them make better, well-informed decisions.

The website offers a wide variation of information, from useful tips to in-depth charts and tables. A monthly newsletter is provided by the site, as well as updated quarterly figures for comp’s in the Bay Area. The site design is clean in simple, aiming at a friendly, comfortable feeling but mostly easy navigation and access to important information for the site’s clients. The information on the site is updated regularly, when newer, more accurate figures, become available.

Local Address USA is a new startup which provides online shoppers’ around the world the convenience of buying online, by phone, or by catalogue using a local address in the United States to accept their merchandise.

The WordPress website has added features that allow users to register for the site and pay for the shipping services. The site also provides plenty of useful information for shoppers outside the US, including conversions of clothing and shoe sizes, using European, British and American sizes and detailed terms and conditions. This website also makes usage in providing information in more than one language, using completely different sets of fonts.

Energy Orb is a new company that specializes in providing new and different party accessories. Their latest gadget is a collection of sound activated t-shirts: the music in the party you attend will light up a heart, sunglasses or a transformer image and make the wearer stand out.

This is a full service e-commerce site. There is a shopping cart and online payment services, and a full catalogue where the different designs and sizes are specified. Other special features on the site include a music player – a cooperation between the company’s owners and several DJs who use the partying accessories and also seize an opportunity to promote their music.
